Saint Laurent is the rearmost luxury fashion house to head into the world of fine jewellery. The French marker has this week blazoned the launch of Saint Laurent Haute Joaillerie, a collection of fine jewellery, marking a first for the house.
Although the brand has always vended accessories, this is the first devoted fine jewellery collection – and it features rings, earrings, bond and chokers drafted in unheroic gold, white gold and diamonds, numerous of which nod to Saint Laurent's crucial motifs. This includes rings and chokers with the notorious YSL totem and pieces with large chains and links, the Maillon.
Designed by creative director Anthony Vaccarello and described by the brand as" functional, collectible pieces", these are made to be dateless." They're at formerly new and suited for endless unborn use anyhow of seasons and trends."
The crusade, which was shot by Juergen Teller, dyads the chunky lavalieres with satiny jersey evening gowns, and heaps numerous of the pieces, proving that further is more when it comes to this striking collection.
Saint Laurent isn't the first luxury fashion house to enter the fine jewellery request. Prada, Gucci and Balmain have all also launched fine jewellery in recent seasons, while the likes of Dior and Chanel have long produced their own, important of which has been a big institution on the red carpet, which will no doubt also be the case with these Saint Laurent pieces.
